Unlike institutional settings, FolkStone homes are owned and operated by the care providers who live with the residents they serve. In addition, FolkStone homes are limited to a maximum of (2) residents. Each FolkStone residence is a different and unique environment. Many of the homes have been modified to accommodate client needs. FolkStone homes go unnoticed in the communities as they are intended to integrate the clients they serve.


How do I know that a "FolkStone Home" is what my loved one needs?

FolkStone provides you with another choice. We are simply providing an alternative approach to the more traditional institutional care environment. We provide a full range of comprehensive skilled nursing services for short and long term care. Folkstone homes assist people of all ages from personal care to extended care.


Can I continue to use my own personal Physician?

Yes, we encourage residents to continue the relationship with their physician. Our caregivers will assist with making all appointments and will accompany residents to all appointments as required.


Will my family be able to visit me at a "FolkStone Home"?

Yes, we recommend that family and friends take an active part in their loved ones social calendar. Our commitment is to maintain an open door... being receptive to our residents and working closely with family members.


Will a “FolkStone Home” care for someone who has Alzheimer’s or other forms of Dementia?

Yes! We have specialized caregivers who are adept at handling Dementia including Alzheimer’s. The level of care required is assessed frequently to ensure that when the illness advances, the appropriate care and safety needs are implemented immediately.


What meals are served at a “FolkStone Home”?

Our homes offer home cooked meals daily plus in between meal nourishment.
